School District 42 offers high quality international education programs taught by government certified teachers.
Our international program teaches both academic and cultural studies from a Canadian perspective.
International students benefit from our quality academic curriculum, which offers close interaction with Canadian students, full immersion, and participation in the many activities and clubs our schools have to offer.
Each school has an international counsellor and an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor to assist the students when necessary.
Students attend an orientation meeting when they first arrive. This orientation gives students an opportunity to review the program information and meet our staff. Our international assessment teacher and homestay coordinators visit the schools weekly and meet with any students that wish to see them. We also meet with the school principals and counselors to discuss each student’s progress.
