Hockey Academy

Pacific Rim Hockey Academy (PRHA) has for the past 10 years worked with the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District in establishing an academic approved hockey academy allowing students to balance educational requirements while developing hockey skills, the program is offered at Pitt Meadows Secondary and Samuel Robertson Secondary. This program with Ministry of Education approved content is available for Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows students in grades 8 to 12 and allows them to balance their educational requirements with the development of their hockey skills.

PRHA provides a program that includes personalized instruction that educates and develops students in both the physical & mental aspects required to excel in hockey. In addition the program goes far beyond the classroom and rink to further develop and strengthen life skills, recreation, leadership, fitness/wellness, special events and work experience.

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District’s hockey Academy is integrated inside a normal school day, students earn credit for Physical Education and/or Advanced Hockey. The Pacific Rim Hockey Academy has a dedicated academic teacher in attendance at all times.

Students are tested both on and off the ice to monitor individual improvement. They also receive video analysis, fitness assessments, one-on-one reviews and player profile reports.
