Medical Insurance

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows International Program arranges medical insurance for all international students attending the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District.

  • Students studying 6 months or more will be placed on BC Government MSP (Medical Service Plan) insurance and will also be topped up by our private insurance provided by StudyInsured.
  • Students studying 5 months or less will be on a comprehensive private insurance plan provided by StudyInsured.

Emergency Service

StudyInsured offers students and host families multilingual 24 hour support through their StudyInsured™ Assistance.  Students and host families are encouraged to call prior to any visit to a clinic or hospital.

Virtual Health

In addition to regular health insurance coverage, StudyInsured provides Virtual Health.  This online service connects students with doctors via video chat 7 days a week.  To access this service students must use their policy number and date of birth to access the registration from here:
