Our international elementary school program is for students between the ages of 6 and 12 years. It has been designed for international students who wish to study for one or more school terms in Canada.

School District 42 has strict class size restrictions for elementary school; therefore, parents choosing this program should choose one or two alternative elementary schools for placement. International Education staff reserves the right to change placement in the elementary school.

The elementary school year is from September to June. International students follow the same plan of studies established by the provincial Ministry of Education, integrating into their assigned schools alongside their Canadian peers.

School District 42 includes 22 elementary schools. All of our elementary schools teach the British Columbia accredited core curriculum.
